Appellation: Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux AOC
Grape Varieties: 95% Merlot, 5% Malbec
The Courrèges vineyard is made up of plots of 20 to 30-year-old vines, Merlot and Malbec. Located on the high plateau of Yvrac, the terroir is made up of limestone and clay-limestone on bedrock flush with the surface.
After a gentle and long vinification, the wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels from the best woods in France (Allier). Eighteen months after the harvest, the wine is bottled. Harvesting is manual.
A broad, ripe wine with spicy black fruits and generous tannins, this will develop well. Open berry flavors are coming through the wine's firm structure, long finish.
