Grape Varieties: Corvina Veronese and Corvinone Veronese
Ripasso Valpolicella is from the region of Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto from the Corvina Veronese and Corvinone Veronese grapes of the hillside vineyards. There is a vinification of fresh grapes, followed by a 10-day maceration on the skins.
It has an intense ruby red color. The wine has a spicy bouquet, intense aromas of ripe cherry and jam, and is dry, full, soft flavors in the mouth with a very pleasant bitter finish. Ripasso is perfect with pasta dishes, meat, game and cheeses and especially traditional "risotto".
