Appellation: Saint Estèphe
Grapes Varieties: 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc
Pez means "peace" in Old French and is still commonly used in Saint-Estèphe. This peaceful haven is a Garden of Eden for making great wines. Saint-Estèphe has winegrowing history that dates back to the roman time and was awarded AOC status in 1936.
Grapes harvested from 25-30yr old vines which are planted on clay and limestone soils which gives them their unique personality. traditional wine-making techniques are used with daily pumping-over to extract maximum colour and flavours. aged in tank for 12 months before being bottled.
Tasting:
Attractive deep red colour. Nose of ripe fruit, slightly spicy, fine. Full on the palate, fruity, with well-integrated tannins. Serve with roast rib of beef.
