Tasting: Created as a hybrid variety in 1955, Dornfelder produces a deeply colored red wine brimming with rich flavors of ripe plum and berry. This wine is deliciously sweet, with a deep, nearly opaque, purple color. The finish is velvety smooth with little hint of tannin. Best served slightly chilled.
