Grape Varieties: 100% Tempranillo
Wineries Bodegas Villarrica Manor belongs to a family of winegrowers and winemakers QDO. Rioja, traditionally settled in the heart of the Rioja Alta in San Asensio, where they carefully cultivating its 110 Ha. Old vines. This family has put all their passion into making their wines, due care and knowledge passed down through four generations.
Wine-Making Process: Grapes are handpicked and placed in 15 kg boxes. Second selection process on special selection tables in the winery followed by meticulous destemming. Fermentation in 2,000 kg selected French oak tanks with temperature control. This fermentation lasts for approximately 1 month before the wine moves on to malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. It spends 15 months aging in new French oak barrels with medium plus toasting before being refined in the bottle for 12 months.
Tasting: Marked aromas of violet and ripe wild fruits. The new French oak barrels made of selected woods give it clean aromas of coffee, while respecting as far as possible thefruity aromas of the Tempranillo grapes.
Intense color, aroma of wild fruit surrounded by a very soft milk tone. The mouth is very fruity, smooth with a light touch of toasted wood. Wine of unique quality with a unique production process and great maturation potential. It is produced in limited quantities only in the best years.
